Justin & Leslie

We're a husband and wife team who got obsessed with Hyrox, fell in love with travel, and couldn't figure out why those two things didn't exist together. So after traveling the world for six months in 2025, we came home and we built it.

Life Well Worth It was born out of a simple belief: that fitness is best when it's shared, and that travel is best when it has a purpose. A Hyrox race gives you both. It's a reason to train all winter, a destination to look forward to, and a shared challenge that bonds people in a way a regular trip never could.

We're not a travel agency. We're not a fitness company. We're two people who love doing this and want to bring others along. We handle every detail — the house, the training plan, the meals, the experiences — so you can just show up and be present.

We'll be at every single retreat. This isn't a business we hand off. It's a life we're living.

Justin grew up in Mississippi as the out-of-shape kid — the one who got winded first and was always last to be picked. That stayed true for most of his life. After college he'd make occasional passes at fitness, but it never stuck. Meanwhile he built something else: a career as an Air Force Officer, then a deep obsession with personal finance that started in 2014 and didn't let go. He set a goal to retire early. In 2023, at 33, he did it. He writes about all of it at Saving Sherpa and co-hosts The Financial Independence Show — and he sets aside time on every retreat to help attendees tackle their own personal finances, build confidence around money, and think differently about what early freedom could look like for them.

The fitness shift came when Leslie signed them up for an F45 membership — something Justin would never have let himself spend money on. He showed up to be supportive. He got completely hooked. In April 2022, he gave up alcohol entirely. Between those two things, fitness went from something he occasionally attempted to the center of his life. He'd loved cooking since he was a kid, but the fitness journey brought a deep interest in nutrition alongside it — and he started combining the two. He became obsessed with hacking recipes: taking desserts and treats that are hard to fit into a nutrition plan and rebuilding them as high-protein, low-calorie versions you can enjoy regularly without the guilt. On retreats, he cooks a race-focused meal the night before race day and shares nutrition, cooking, and meal prep tips with the group.

Hyrox came next, and not in a straight line. A friend asked Leslie to race because their partner got injured. Justin found his own training partner — a good friend he wanted a reason to stay connected with. Neither of them were runners. Then, training podcast after podcast hammered the importance of running, and Justin decided to give it a real shot. He took it on the road when he and Leslie traveled the world for six months at the start of 2025, and set a goal to run a half marathon before they came home. He crossed that finish line in Rome in June 2025.

He understands what it's like to not be the fit one in the room. Fitness and athleticism didn't come naturally to him — he spent most of his life actively avoiding both. Today it's his main source of community and joy, and he can't imagine life without it. That perspective is why Life Well Worth It exists. Justin handles the logistics, the planning, and the competitive edge — and he'll be at every retreat.

Leslie brings the heart, fun, and fitness expertise to Life Well Worth It. She’s from Austin, Texas, where her relationship with movement started early, first as a gymnast and later through volleyball, which quickly became her world. She loved the energy of team sports, competition, and working toward something alongside others. That passion led her to play volleyball at Trinity University in San Antonio for four years. Athletics shaped her through grit, humility, and leadership.

After college, Leslie moved to New York City and stayed close to fitness through wellness-focused work, group classes, and fitness communities. Even then, coaching was always in the background. She loved fitness, but for years treated it more like a passion than something she could fully pursue. That changed in 2022 when she joined F45 in Austin. What started as a workout class quickly reignited the athlete in her and completely shifted the direction of her life.

Approaching 30, Leslie realized she was done waiting for some future version of herself to feel healthy and confident. She stopped drinking, committed fully to strength training, and started building the daily habits that actually create lasting change. She realized confidence isn’t something you wait to feel first — it’s something you build by consistently showing up for yourself.

In 2023, she earned her ACE Group Fitness certification and started coaching. She later became a NASM-certified personal trainer, expanded into HYROX training, and embraced a more complete philosophy around health and performance -- including strength, running, mobility, recovery, mindfulness, and nutrition. That evolution made her not only a better athlete, but a coach who understands how to help people build fitness into real life.

In 2025, Leslie and Justin spent six months traveling the world with the goal of showing that it’s possible to prioritize your health while still fully living your life. That season also included rehabbing an injury and learning how to slow down, rebuild patiently, and train with more intention. At the end of the year, they completed their first mixed doubles HYROX race together, and along with the experiences from their travels, it sparked the vision for Life Well Worth It.

Today, Leslie is especially passionate about helping women build confidence through strength training and step into a bigger version of themselves. In a world that constantly encourages women to shrink, she believes fitness can be a tool for becoming stronger, more capable, and more confident in every area of life.

On retreats, Leslie leads fitness sessions, brings the energy, facilitates meaningful conversations, and makes sure every person feels included from day one.

Why Hyrox?

Hyrox is the perfect centerpiece for a group fitness retreat. It's accessible — you don't need to be elite to finish. It's challenging enough to give you something real to train for. And the race environment is unlike anything else: thousands of athletes, electric energy, and a finish line that means something.

But more than that, it's a shared experience. When you toe the line with people you've trained alongside all winter, traveled with for a week, and eaten dinner with every night — the race becomes a celebration, not just a competition.

You don't even have to race. Plenty of people come to support, explore, and enjoy. The race is the anchor. The trip is the point.

Our Philosophy
🔥
Small Groups, Real Bonds

We keep every retreat under 12 people by design. You won't get lost in a crowd. You'll actually know everyone by the end of day one.

🌍
Destinations Worth Traveling To

Every location is chosen because it's genuinely incredible — not just because there's a race there. The city is part of the experience.

🏠
Houses, Not Hotels

We stay together in private villas. The house becomes the heartbeat of the trip — shared meals, early mornings, late nights, and all the in-between moments that make a trip memorable.

🏃
Race Ready, Not Race Required

We're built around Hyrox, but you don't have to compete. Come to cheer, explore, or just enjoy. The door is open either way.

Everything Handled

Accommodation, meals, transport, guided excursions, fitness sessions — it's all covered. You book the flight. We handle the rest.

👫
We're Always There

Justin and Leslie are at every retreat, every day. This isn't managed from a distance — we're in it with you from check-in to checkout.
