A Life Well Worth It retreat is a small-group fitness travel experience built around a race such as a Hyrox competition or Half Marathon. We book a private villa, organize training sessions, meals, day trips, and group experiences — all you need to bring is your flights and your competitive spirit.
Think of it less like a fitness retreat and more like the best group trip you've ever taken, with a race in the middle.
Anyone 21+ who wants to travel with purpose and enjoy an experience with like-minded people. You don't need to be an elite athlete — our retreats are designed for all fitness levels. Plenty of people come who want to compete for the first time, set a PR, or just experience something new.
Some attendees don't race at all — they come to support, explore the destination, and enjoy the group. You're welcome either way.
We intentionally keep groups small — typically 9 to 12 people. This is non-negotiable for us. Smaller groups mean better houses, more personal experiences, and real connections. Our first retreat in Málaga had 9 spots and sold out completely.
Yes — all retreats are 21+ only. This is an adults-only experience by design.
Every single retreat, every single day. We're not operators running trips from a distance — we're your hosts from check-in to checkout. We eat with you, train with you, and race alongside you.
Every retreat includes: high-end private group accommodation, at least one group dinner out, a stocked kitchen, race day supplementation, some group activities in nature, most of the transportation after arrival, trainer-led fitness classes, nutrition advice, personal finance guidance, private accountability group, and training plans.
You're also added to our private pre-trip community group to connect with fellow attendees and stay accountable in the months leading up to the retreat.
Flights to and from the destination, your Hyrox race entry ticket, and any meals or excursions not listed in the scheduled program. These are straightforward to handle and we give you everything you need to plan well ahead of time.
Pricing is based on double occupancy — two people per room. If you're traveling solo or with a partner who wants their own room setup, reach out to us directly and we'll discuss availability and pricing for a private room arrangement.
We book high-end private villas or boutique homes — never hotels. In Málaga, that was a 6 bedroom / 5.5 bath villa with a pool, a short walk to the beach, fully stocked with groceries. The house is a key part of the experience — it's where the group comes together each morning and evening.
Absolutely not. We love Hyrox and it anchors the week, but plenty of people join us without racing. You can spectate and cheer the group on, explore the city on race day, or just enjoy the extra free time. There's no pressure.
Hyrox is a global fitness race format — you run 8 x 1km runs, each followed by a functional fitness exercise (ski erg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls). It's designed to be challenging but completable for all fitness levels — from first-timers to competitive athletes.
Races are held in cities around the world. Learn more at hyrox.com.
No — our first Málaga retreat included several first-time Hyrox racers. We provide a pre-trip training plan and our private community keeps you accountable in the months leading up to race day. You'll arrive prepared.
No — Hyrox race entry is purchased separately directly through Hyrox. We'll share the registration link and all details when you join the trip so you can secure your slot early. Race entries often sell out.
For international retreats (Nice, France) — yes, a valid passport is required. For the Nashville retreat, standard US ID applies for US citizens. We'll share all travel details when you book.
We arrange group transportation throughout the week via rental cars. For Málaga, we had two cars that kept everyone moving between the villa, the race venue, and excursions. You won't need to sort out your own transport during the retreat.
Absolutely — and we encourage it. For Málaga, many people extended with a day trip to Morocco or continued on to Barcelona via train or short flight. We'll share recommendations for each destination so you can plan extras easily.
Yes — and many people do. Solo travelers are very welcome. The small group size means you'll connect quickly. Rooms are priced at double occupancy, so you'd be paired with another solo attendee of the same gender, or you can request a solo room for an additional cost.
Click "Apply Now" anywhere on the site to submit a short application. We review every application personally and reach out within a few days to connect and confirm details. Once accepted, a $500 deposit secures your spot. Given how quickly Málaga sold out, don't wait.
Deposits ($500): Your deposit is refundable only if we are unable to fully confirm the retreat at least 60 days prior to the start date. If the trip runs as planned, the deposit is non-refundable — it secures your spot and covers our planning costs.
Full payments: If you've paid in full and need to cancel, we will refund the amount paid minus the $500 deposit. This applies regardless of when you cancel, as long as the trip is running as confirmed.
If we cancel: In the rare case we cancel an entire retreat, all payments including deposits will be refunded in full.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected circumstances. Questions? Email us at info@lifewellworthit.com.
Once you've booked, you're added to a private group with all other retreat attendees. We use this community in the months leading up to the trip to share training plans, nutrition tips, accountability check-ins, and trip prep info. It's one of the best parts — you arrive knowing everyone already.
Yes. All confirmed attendees receive a pre-trip training plan to help them prepare for race day (or just to feel great throughout the week, if you're not racing). It's designed for all fitness levels and adjustable to your schedule.
Each retreat includes trainer-led fitness sessions and a nutrition workshop during the week. For Málaga, these were built around race prep and recovery. Daily activities also include group runs, mobility sessions, and optional workouts — but there's plenty of flexibility and downtime built in.
